Global sanitary situation, Covid-19

Important information

We hope that you are all well and finding ways to overcome this global health crisis.

Clara Haskil, whom our competition is named after, undoubtedly sets us an example, as she has lived through one of the darkest periods in history. Born in 1895, she survived two world wars, in a context of precarious health, but with courage and determination. It was not until the 1950s that she was finally recognised and able to make a living from her profession.

May she inspire us in our actions and encourage us constantly to celebrate the unifying power of music!

Concerning our next competition, regardless of the sanitary situation, we can already guarantee that the Preliminaries will take place in accordance with the rules, i.e.:

– Registration deadline : 28 April 2021

– In camera Video Preliminaries May 2021

– 17 May 2021: Preliminaries results and invitation to compete in the Quarter-Finals

On 17 May 2021, we will be able to inform the pianists selected for the public Quarter-Finals whether the Clara Haskil Competition will be held on the scheduled dates of 26 August to 3 September 2021, or postponed to a later date.

This 2021 edition will therefore not be cancelled; at worst, it will be postponed to a later date, but still with the pianists selected in May 2021.

We are sending each of you a message of hope and friendship around the values we hold dear, inspired by Clara Haskil’s unique musical personality.
